Cookies

Version 1.0 · Last updated 16 July 2026

Please read this cookie notice carefully.

This cookie notice ("Notice") is issued by LETLY LTD, registered in England and Wales with company number 16256509 and registered address at Henry Wood House, 4–5 Langham Place, London W1B 3DG, United Kingdom ("Letly", "us" or "we") and explains:

What we store on your device when you use Letly's web application at app.letly.ai ("Platform");

Why we store it; and

How to change your choices at any time.

This Notice covers cookies and similar technologies such as localStorage. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal data more broadly, and our Terms of Service, which govern your use of the Platform.

Important Notice

We store nothing optional on your device until you make a choice in the consent dialog.

Strictly Necessary Storage (signing you in, keeping your session secure, remembering your consent choice) is always on — the Platform cannot work without it.

Product analytics and attribution are off by default and only switch on if you allow them.

If you say no, we still count visits in an anonymous, aggregate way that stores nothing on your device and cannot identify you — and you can switch even that off.

You can change your mind at any time at app.letly.ai/cookie-settings. Withdrawing is as easy as accepting.

1. Definitions

The following defined terms are used in this Notice:

Cookies means small text files placed on your device by a website, which that website can read back on later visits.

localStorage means an area of storage in your browser in which a website can keep information on your device; data held in localStorage remains until it is deleted by the website or by you.

Platform means Letly's web application at app.letly.ai.

Strictly Necessary Storage means the cookies and localStorage entries without which the Platform cannot function, as described in condition 2.1.

2. What We Store and Why

2.1 Strictly Necessary Storage

Strictly Necessary Storage is always on. It comprises:

Your consent record (letly_consent and letly_consent_synced), held in localStorage on app.letly.ai until you clear it, which records your consent choice so we do not ask you again; and

Sign-in and session security, provided by Auth0 (the auth0, auth0_compat, did and did_compat cookies on auth.letly.ai, which last for your session or up to a few days, and the @@auth0spajs@@… token cache in localStorage on app.letly.ai, which is kept until you sign out).

2.2 Functionality Storage

pwa_prompt_date, held in localStorage on app.letly.ai, records that we have shown you the "add to home screen" suggestion so we do not nag you. It suppresses the suggestion for 24 hours; the value is kept until cleared.

2.3 Product Analytics (Your Choice)

Product analytics is off by default and runs only if you allow it. If you do, PostHog (the ph_…_posthog cookie and the _ph_opt_in_out… entry, stored as a cookie and in localStorage on app.letly.ai) collects usage analytics and session replay — recordings of how you use Letly — so we can find and fix problems. This data is retained for up to 12 months.

2.4 Attribution (Your Choice)

Attribution is off by default and runs only if you allow it. If you do, letly_first_touch and letly_last_touch, held in localStorage on app.letly.ai for 90 days, remember which site referred you (for example Zoopla or Rightmove) so we can credit our partners.

3. Your Choices

3.1 Your First Visit

The first time you visit the Platform you will be asked to choose. Accept all, Reject all and per-purpose toggles are equally available, and nothing optional runs until you decide.

3.2 Changing Your Choices

You can change your choices at any time:

At app.letly.ai/cookie-settings, which works whether or not you are signed in and applies your changes immediately; or

Through Account → Privacy in the app, if you are signed in.

3.3 Effect of Turning a Purpose Off

Turning a purpose off stops it immediately: analytics storage is deleted, session recording stops, and saved referral data is removed from your device.

3.4 Choices Are Per Browser and Device

Your choices are stored per browser and device. A new browser will ask you again.

4. If You Reject Analytics

4.1 Anonymous Aggregate Counting

If you reject analytics, we still count how the Platform is used in an aggregate, anonymous form. Nothing is stored on your device, and the counting method (a daily-rotating hash) means you appear as a different anonymous visitor each day and cannot be identified or tracked over time.

4.2 Legal Basis

This counting is permitted without consent under UK law (PECR, statistical-purposes exception) because it only tells us how Letly is used, never who used it.

4.3 Opting Out of Counting

If you would rather not be counted at all, turn off Anonymous usage statistics at app.letly.ai/cookie-settings. The option appears there once you have rejected analytics, it is free, and it takes effect immediately.

5. Referral Capture at Sign-Up

5.1 What We Record

Separately from anything stored on your device, when you create an account we record which partner site referred you (for example Zoopla or Rightmove) so we can credit that partner. This happens on our servers using the address of the link you arrived from.

5.2 Why This Does Not Require Cookie Consent

The sign-up referral record does not store or read anything on your device, so it does not require cookie consent.

5.3 Legal Basis and Your Right to Object

We record sign-up referrals on the basis of our legitimate interest in measuring partner referrals. You can object at any time (see condition 8) and we will delete the record. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

6. Who Processes This Data

6.1 PostHog

PostHog (EU Cloud, hosted in Frankfurt, Germany) processes product analytics and session replay on our behalf as a data processor. Your data does not leave the EU/UK for this purpose. If you reject analytics, PostHog only ever receives the anonymous aggregate events described in condition 4.

6.2 Auth0

Auth0 (Okta) provides sign-in and account security; its cookies are Strictly Necessary Storage.

6.3 No Advertising or Cross-Site Tracking

We never use advertising cookies, third-party ad tags, or cross-site tracking on app.letly.ai. If that ever changes, we will ask for your consent first.

7. Retention

Analytics data is retained for up to 12 months. Device-stored referral data expires after 90 days. The sign-up referral record is kept while your account exists. Your consent record is kept for as long as we need it to demonstrate compliance.

8. Your Rights and How to Reach Us

You can ask us to access, correct, delete, or stop processing your data, and you can object to the sign-up referral capture, by emailing privacy@letly.ai. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

9. Changes to This Notice

If we materially change what we store or why — a new purpose, a new processor — we will update this Notice, bump the version above, and ask for your consent again in the app before anything new runs. We will not rely on you re-reading this page to find out.
